Starting October 31, 2023, from 10 AM to 2 PM, IDG New Jersey now offers free Customer Service classes to drivers. Learn how to improve your customer service skills, impress your passengers and raise your rating.

Telemedicine
All drivers can speak with a doctor 24/7 at no cost
How to use this benefit

Telemedicine

Free 24/7 access to doctors from your phone.

 

How does Telemedicine work?

 

NJ IDG members have access to a doctor via phone or video chat 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at no cost to them. Doctors can help with non-emergency services such as cold/flu symptoms, allergies, nausea, and more. They can also prescribe medications (no controlled substances). While all appointments are free, the cost of filling any prescriptions given still falls to the driver.

 

Step 1: Download the AllyHealth App & Register Your Account Before You Get Sick

 

Members have the following options in registering for AllyHealth:

 

Option 1. Call the MDLIVE line directly at 888-565-3303

 

  • Their call center representatives will register you for MDLIVE over the phone.
  • Have your driver’s license number ready.
  • The call center representative can also help you schedule an appointment with a doctor, or connect you with a doctor immediately.
  • Don’t forget to save 888-565-3303 in your contacts for quick and easy access!

 

Option 2. Register using the AllyHealth App, or visit AllyHealth Online

 

 

Follow the prompts to set up your account

 

Step 2: When You Need A Doctor

 

  • Open the AllyHealth app on your phone, or call at 888-565-3303
    • Login using your password or Face ID
    • Choose “Talk to a Doctor Now” to start a Consultation
    • Select “Start Consultation”
    • Confirm the Patient Information (you or a dependent) and hit “Next”
    • Answer the questions about why you are seeking an appointment
    • Confirm the questions about medical history are accurate
    • Make sure to select a pharmacy, or to confirm if the one listed is still the correct one for you
    • Choose “First Available Doctor” for fastest service, along with “Phone” or “Video” preference
  • Most waiting times are about 10 – 15 minutes

What are Prescription Discounts?

The Drivers Prescription Discount Card allows drivers and their families to save up to 85% off on thousands of medications.

The Prescription Discount Card works with or without insurance and is accepted at 66,000 pharmacies.

How to Use this Benefit

Step 1

Download your prescription discount card here, and print it or save it on your phone.

Step 2

Show the card or provide the number to your pharmacist when you go to get your prescription medication.

Using either a printed or electronic copy, or provide the pharmacist with the ID, BIN, and Group number below:

The Prescription Discount Card works with or without insurance and is accepted at 66,000 pharmacies.

  • If you have insurance:
    • If you are obtaining generic and your co-pay is more than $10, present the card to your pharmacist and ask “What is my Discount Drug Card price?”
  • If you do not have insurance:
    • Use this card at the pharmacy when you go to fill a brand name or generic prescription.

Save 30% – 60% on routine care and major dental procedures for you and members of your family with the Metrodent dentist network.

 

What is Dental Discount?

 

Dental Discount is not dental insurance. MetrodentDIRECT provides our drivers with a network of hundreds of dentists, including general Practitioners and specialists. This network of dentists have agreed to pre-negotiated discounts on dental services for members and their families.

 

On your Dental Discount portal you can review pricing for services before making an appointment.

 

Which members of my family can use this?

 

Your spouse, domestic partner and dependents up to the age of 23 can see participating dentists and receive services at a discounted rate. You simply need to enroll them.

 

How To Use This Benefit

 

Once you have joined the Independent Drivers Guild, you will be registered in the Metrodent network and able to use Dental Discount at dentists in both NJ and metro NY.

On our portal, you can:

 

  • Register your family for Dental Discount
  • Print your membership card
  • Search for dentists near you
  • Schedule appointments with dentists

Getting Started:

 

Please note – drivers will be able to access their Dental Discount card from MetrodentDIRECT 24-72 hours after joining IDG. If you need more immediate access, call our support team at 1- 844-335-1264 and we will be able to help you.

 

Print your membership card:

 

  • Go to our driversguilddental.com, and click (top right corner) PRINT ID NOW
  • Enter your email, birth date and zip code to get access to your card OR, take a picture and show the dentist the download on your phone

 

Enroll your family:

 

  • On our portal, click ENROLL NOW and enter your information
  • Enter the names and birthdates of the family members you’d like to include on your plan.
  • Please call our support team if you need immediate access.

Get free access to emotional and practical support
How to use this benefit

Call 973-705-7174 or email nj.wellness@drivingguild.org to speak to one of our social workers. You can also complete this form. All our services are free and we can speak English, Chinese, Spanish, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi.

Deactivation Protection

Get help if you’ve been deactivated by Lyft!

 

Sometimes ride share services tell drivers that they cannot drive based on incorrect claims made by passengers. And sometimes drivers are rude to passengers and should get help, not lose their jobs. If you were deactivated from and think you deserve to be put back on tell us. We promise we will fight to get you back to work.

 

We will ask you to tell us when the ride share service cut you off and why they said that they did it. Then we will go to work fighting to get you back on the platform. We cannot promise success, but we can promise we will fight. Often we win. And sometimes we work with you and the company to reach a compromise, you go back with limited access at first, or you make a deal with the company that you have to take a customer service class. Our goal is to get you back working.

 

We can primarily help drivers in New Jersey and New York State but want to hear from everyone.

 

If you have been deactivated or if a ride share service has restricted when and where you can drive as a result of an allegation that you did something wrong, click here (http://www.iamdeactivated.com/). On that website we will ask you to provide information about your situation so that we can begin to get you back to work.

We will work with the ride share company and you to get you back to work either by getting them to drop their case, agreeing to a “probation” or agree that you can return to work if you agree to take a class with IDG.
